Good. High volume of lower acuity cases, good opportunities for small procedures and casting, emergency medicine preceptors generally excellent teachers and allow for high level of independence in confident residents.

Generally only one resident working at this site at a time, often only family medicine residents on this rotations. Occasional overlap with PGY3 ER residents

What does a typical work week look like on this rotation?[]

- What does a typical work week look like on this rotation?

Urgent care is open from 8am-6pm on weekdays and 8am-4 pm on weekends. I had ten shifts in Urgent care and three at Vic ER. Weekday shifts are 8-6 and weekend shifts are 8-4pm.

Other Things to add[]

- Good learning opportunities for lower acuity emergency care. Residents often given first opportunity for small procedures and casting. One on one work with emerg staff - good opportunity for interest in emergency medicine.
